So i have always had an obsession with baby names...well names in general. I have been looking at names my whole life not necessarily to name my own children, but just because they fascinate me. I like to know the meaning or story behind names, what makes them so special or unique. I can guarantee you that when our kids are all named, the names are carefully thought about and picked for them for specific reasons not just because they sound like cute names. I know that everyone is not as crazy as I am about the naming process, but to me a name is an important thing.
Once we found out exactly how special our boys were we wanted to pick names that had specific meaning to them that we felt was the best for their situation. So here are their names, meanings and why we picked them for our boys specifically.
Jude Ellis Foltz and Corban Zane Foltz
Jude means- praising God- We picked this one because even though we do not understand why things happen or the reason behind them we do know that God is in control and he IS worthy to be praised in ALL circumstances.
Ellis means- Jehovah is my God. Jehovah is the personal name of God given in the Bible if you look into what Jehovah means in the Hebrew it is that "He causes to become" or meaning that God is the one who gives purpose to all things just as he has given our boys a specific purpose.
Corban means- a gift devoted to God. It actually comes from the greek word Korban this was a term given to gifts specifically set aside meaning they belonged to God. We from the beginning have known that these babies and all babies belong to God and we are only his vessel being use to care for them no matter how long that time period may be.
Zane means- God is gracious. God has given us much more than we deserve through our babies. Many people think this is a crazy statement but there is already so much that we have learned from these babies and we have been blessed far beyond what we could imagine or deserve through our situation even thus far.
I was referred to your blog by a friend of yours. I serve on the Board for a crisis pregnancy center. We have been so touched by your commitment to carry these boys no matter what. These are the controversial pregnancies that people argue are grounds for abortion. Thank you for your post about taking care of them for Jesus. What a testimony to your Lord and Saviour. We are praying for your family that God would continue to cover you in his Grace and hold you in His hand.
