Hopefully answers will come soon.

Many of you have asked for an update on the boys. I had an appointment with my regular obgyn last week. They babies had quite a growth spurt , but other than that nothing had really changed about their condition. The one bladder is still way too large but had not increased by much. Their heart rates were also very inconsistent, but they seem to just keep hanging in there.

Coming up on February 16th I will have a long day of appointments at Barnes and St. Louis Children's hospital that will hopefully lead to us learning more specific information about how they are connected and any other complications they may have. I am actually really looking forward to this day because most of the time the Drs just don't even know exactly what to tell us because our situation is so rare.

Here is the exact agenda for that day just so you all have an idea of what we will be going through:

8:00 am - Ultrasound- approx 2 hours long
10:00 am - Maternal - Fetal Medicine appointment
11:00 am - Meeting with Newborn Medicine physician
12:00 pm - Fetal Echocardiogram -approx 2 hours long
2:45 pm - Fetal MRI

It will definitely be a long day for us but like i said we are hoping we will finally have some answers to our many questions by the end of the day. Thank you all for caring for us and our babies and for continuing to keep us in your prayers. We could never thank you enough!

  1. I wish I lived closer so I could keep Adelina for you. I hope you have someone you feel real comfortable leaving her with. She is such a doll baby and sounds like she is a good child. God bless and remember we are still praying for all of you.

  2. I hope you don't have to drink a gallon of liquid and then be pushed on by the ultrasound tech for two hours!!! If so, let us know so we have something REALLY specific to pray for :o). We love you guys and we are praying for all five of you.

  3. So far they haven't made me drink a bunch of water For any of my ultrasounds like I would have expected but i have them 3 times a month already with one of those always being a long one at the specialists office so guessing they won't make me do anything different.

My whole family is located in St. Louis, part of the reason we decided to go with the Drs here so we have lots of trustworthy babysitters plus many from my church family j grew up with my whole life but I do appreciate your concern and offer it is really hard when you haven't lived somewhere for long and need a babysitter you really trust!
